Community Assistance Program
The community services program has been able to assist over 2,355 low income household; more than 671 of these low income households were senior adults.
The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides home energy and crisis payment to assist low income individuals and their households in meeting the high cost of heating and cooling.
Applications are taken Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The following documents must be provided at time of appointment in order to receive assistance:

Energy Bill - Current Electric or Gas bill

Proof of income for ALL Household members

Proof of Social Security Numbers for everyone in the Household

Photo ID for applicant

Food Stamp Certification Letter showing current status

Birth Certificates for children 5 years old and under

Tenant calculation form, if living in public housing: Panama City, Springfield, Royal American, Section 8 or HUD forms.
