Funding and Donations

Bay County Council on Aging, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization which is funded through state and federal grants, and through local funds received form United Way, Bay County Commission, donations from churches, civic and community organizations, and individuals.

More than 90% of the agency's budget goes to direct client services. Each year more than $300,000 must be raised locally to match federal and state dollars. A $1.00 donation generates $10.00 in services to a senior adult. This can provide 5 hot, nutritious meals to a home-bound senior.

Senior Partners

Bay County Council on Aging's effectiveness in serving the local community is due in large part to the assistance and commitment of twenty-seven local businesses, agencies and organizations. The ongoing support of the Senior Partners, in the form of advocacy, volunteerism, sponsorships and financial commitment, makes services for the elderly, disabled and disadvantaged possible. Partnerships are formed in four levels.
