Funding and Donations

Bay County Council on Aging, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization which is funded through state and federal grants, and through local funds received form United Way, Bay County Commission, donations from churches, civic and community organizations, and individuals.

More than 90% the agency's budget goes to direct client services.  Less than 10% is spent on administrative costs.

Each year more than $300,000 must be raised locally to match federal and state dollars.  A $1.00 donation generates $10.00 in services to a senior adult.  This can provide 5 hot, nutritious meals to homebound senior.
