Did you know we recycle old phones? Phones are refurbished and given to seniors who are then able to dial 911 in the event an emergency occurs. Bring your phones to RSVP...We will mail them.
No matter how little we have, it feels good to give - to donate money
or time, to offer help to people and organizations. Giving does more
than just lift our mood. Scientists have found evidence that it improves
our overall health. Giving boosts our energy, helps us avoid illness, and even
extends our lives. Indiana University found that people who volunteer are more
likely to feel happy and satisfied, possess high self-esteem, have a sense of
control over their lives, and enjoy good health. So, why is volunteering so
cheering?. It is because volunteering taps into human instincts and many want to
leave this world a better place. Volunteering has always been a strong value for
Americans.
