Volunteer Program

The Volunteer Program promotes volunteering by offering anyone 18 years years of age and over the opportunity to meet a variety of community needs for senior adults through volunteer service.  There are more than 200 registered volunteers who provide more than 6,500 hours annually in service in the community.  There is a diverse range of volunteer activities that help senior adults who need assistance to maintain their independence, health and quality of life.

Volunteers deliver Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors, provide transportation to medical appointments, assist with Alzheimer's clients, assist with clerical and administrative duties, provide companionship, and lead group activities for senior adults.

Community volunteer groups are always welcome.  These groups assist with projects such as yard work, building ramps, cooking, baking, sewing, quilting, crocheting and more!  Volunteers choose how, where, when, and how often they want to serve.  Volunteer commitments range from a few hours to 40 hours per week.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Lydia Vickery at (850) 769-3468.
