Who we are...
The Bay County Council on Aging, Inc. has been providing of services in Bay County for more than 50 years. It is a private non-profit corporation governed by a fifteen-member Board of Directors and directed by a Chief Executive Officer. Services are provided by a staff of 40 dedicated, caring persons and more than 100 devoted, willing volunteers. Services are provided throughout Bay County for elderly, as well as elderly who may be disabled and disadvantaged, who need assistance to maintain their independence, health and quality of life.
The agency is funded through federal, state and local grants and through local funds received from United Way, local churches, civic groups, community organizations, private businesses and individuals. Services are provided through the Florida Department of Commerce, Florida Department of Children and Families, Florida Department of Elder Affairs, Advantage Aging Solutions, Agency for Healthcare Administration (License #5950) and the United Way of Northwest Florida.
The agency provides services to more than 7,000 individuals annually through programs and services for elderly, disabled, disadvantaged and low income persons.
