Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
LIHEAP provides home energy and crisis payments to assist low income individuals and their households in meeting the high cost of heating and cooling. The energy bill must be in the name of a person residing at the address. The LIHEAP program has assisted more than 1,700 low income households, of which more than 360 of these households were for senior adults and more than 276 are households with disabled adults.
​​The following documents must be provided in order to receive assistance:

Energy bill - current electric or gas bill.

Proof of income for ALL household members.

Social Security numbers for everyone in the household.

Photo ID for all members in the household that are 18 years of age and older.

Food stamp certification letter showing current monthly amount.

Birth certificates for children 5 years of age or younger living in the household.

Tenant calculation form, if living in public housing for Panama City, Springfield, Royal American, Section 8 or HUD.

Proof of disability.
